SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - New playground equipment is planned for Grove Park (245 South Orange Ave.), and the Village of South Orange is requesting feedback from the community about what features they would like the playground to include.
The South Orange community can provide input about the new designs online via the SoEngage survey here until noon on Fri., June 10. As of Thursday, June 9, there were 48 survey responses, with the playground design "Concept 2" receiving the most support with 24 votes, followed by "Concept 1" with 19 votes, and Concept 3 with just 4 votes.
The current survey regarding the new playground at Grove Park continues the design process; a previous design survey was conducted in April, which garnered 89 responses via SoEngage.
The introduction to the survey thanks the community for their feedback on the first proposed design of Grove Park and continues, "we have listened to your feedback and have requested our playground designers to make modifications to the design accordingly. As always we are working within a budget and want to be sure to provide everyone with an amazing playground they will love!"
Construction of the new playground is anticipated to begin this fall, according to Peter Travers, Deputy Director of South Orange Recreation and Special Events.
