SOUTH ORANGE AND MAPLEWOOD, NJ - All South Orange Maplewood School District schools will have a delayed opening on Thursday, March 22, according to to a phone message and email from the school district at about 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

Elementary and middle schools start two hours later than their usually scheduled start times (see schedule below).

All Columbia High School students should come to school at 10 a.m., stated the message from the school district.

Columbia High School principal Elizabeth Aaron wrote on Twitter on Wednesday, "Cougars: delayed opening tomorrow. Doors open at 10 am, bell to get to Period THREE class rings at 10:14 to get to Per 3 by 10:18. We then follow regular bell schedule times and we will have periods 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. Don't be late!"

Montrose students should arrive at 11 a.m., according to the message from the school district.

Students who usually takes a bus to school should expect the bus to arrive about two hours later than the typical pick up time. 

Before care is canceled at all schools.

The school district message also noted "walkways may be slippery, so please use extra care when traveling to school."
