MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Ebola is devastating Africa and many area hospitals are running out of supplies. During these difficult times, we often ask ourselves "What can I do?"
An Ebola Supply Drive will take place at First Maplewood Baptist Church on Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Jennifer Hill, secretary of the First Maplewood Baptist Church, told TAP into SOMA, "Surprisingly, many of the supplies requested are basic medical supplies which can be found in any local dollar store, (alcohol, gauze, etc). However, we do not limit the donor as clothing and canned goods are also needed."
Hill noted that there has been a great outpouring of support throughout New Jersey and even Liberia for the upcoming drive. She said The Honorable Larry P. Younquoi, a representative from the second largest district in Liberia ( District 8, Nimba) is actively involved in planning the drive and it has his full support.
All items collected will be donated to the GW Harley Hospital in Sanniquellie, Liberia.
