FAIRFIELD, NJ — A Fairfield woman who documented her activity on her Facebook page has been charged after an FBI investigation with taking part in the attack on the U.S. Capitol two weeks ago.
Rasha N. Abual-Ragheb was arrested Tuesday and has been charged with unlawful entry and violent behavior in the Capitol. The FBI has alleged that Abual-Ragheb is a member of New Jersey’s chapter of American Patriot 3%, often collectively called Three Percenters.
She appeared on a list of 102 defendants charged in federal court in the District of Columbia related to crimes committed at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C, on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
The official charges against Abual-Ragheb are Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building or Grounds Without Lawful Authority; Knowingly Engages in Disorderly or Disruptive Conduct in any Restricted Building or Grounds; and Violent Entry and Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds. Every case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.
Following arrests, or surrender, defendants must appear before the district court magistrate/judge where the arrest takes place, in accordance with the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.
