SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The South Orange Police report that Monday night at approximately 7 p.m., "a victim stated that he was walking in the downtown [South Orange Village] area with his two adolescent children" when two men began to make racial slurs at them, while also blocking their passage on the sidewalk. 

The victim stated that the the subjects assaulted one of his children by throwing an object at his head and pulling his hair.

South Orange police officers responded, and apprehended the subjects as they attempted to flee north on Vose Ave on foot. Two additional actors were able to elude apprehension while fleeing on foot. Quazir Hill, an 18-year-old Orange resident, and four unidentified juveniles, also from Orange, were arrested, transported to police headquarters, and processed accordingly.
