TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5 - Christmas at the Hall
Seton Hall University is holding "Christmas at the Hall," their annual tree lighting celebration on Dec. 5. Full details here.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8 - Light Up the Holidays in Seton Village
The Seton Village community is having a holiday tree lighting with kids activities and crafts, pictures with Santa, live music, refreshments, and even a few surprises from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Dec. 8. Event takes place in the small park at the corner of Irvington Ave. and West Fairview Ave.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9 - Hometown Holiday
South Orange is having their "Hometown Holiday" event with live music and dance, merchant specials, and free 2 hour parking. Santa Claus will be at the South Orange firehouse for visits and photos from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Then, at 5 p.m., Santa will lead all his "elves," up South Orange Avenue to 76 South Orange Avenue (the PNC Bank Building) for the South Orange tree lighting at 5:15 p.m.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10 - Sadie's Holiday Pop-Up Shop
Sadie's is hosting a holiday pop-up shop with local and handmade goods from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can buy meaningful gifts, eat some treats, and enjoy live music in a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Sadie's is located at 65 Valley St.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7 TO SATURDAY, DECEMBER 23 - Pop 'N Shop
South Orange's Pop 'n Shop, a temporary retail outlet featuring jewelry, apparel, body products, accessories, art and other unique gift items made by local artisans and craftspeople returns this year. The store will be open from Thursday, December 7, through Sunday, December 10, and again the following week from Thursday, December 14 through Sunday, December 17, Friday December 22 and Saturday December 23 each day from noon to 8 p.m. The store will be located at 55 South Orange Avenue (the former Blockbuster store between Vose Avenue and Scotland Road).
