Genius Gems STEM Focused Learning Space Holds Grand Opening in Millburn

MILLBURN, NJ — Genius Gems, a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) based learn and play space welcomed the Millburn community to experience this new 5,000 square foot space on June 3 for their official grand opening. With over 24,000 magnetic tiles for building, activities and classes that include design challenges, competitions, team-based games, creative play and a variety of camps, Genius Gems focuses on learning through fun.  

Millburn Mayor Cheryl Burstein commented at the official ribbon cutting, “We are thrilled to have a space like this in our town — I only wish I had an opportunity like this when I was growing up.”

Founder and CEO of Genius Gems Jennifer Romanoff said, “We started Genius Gems because we believe that introducing STEM-based learning to children early on will prepare them for the careers of the future. We are so excited to bring this one-of-a-kind social learning experience to the families of Millburn and the surrounding community.”

Deputy Mayor of Millburn Jodi Rosenberg echoed Romanoff’s sentiment of Genius Gems bringing a unique experience to Millburn, “It’s a genius idea. I’m excited to see this new concept emerge in our downtown.”

Parents can enjoy a lounge area with free Wi-Fi to relax while their youngsters enjoy classes in a safe and clean environment. The retail shop gives parents the opportunity to bring STEM based projects home and snacks and beverages are also available for purchase. 

Genius Gems will host special events for the holidays and cultural celebrations, drop in and play, birthday parties, girls’ nights out, Dads’ Build-a-Thons, Mom’s Meet Ups, PTA Fundraisers and Corporate Events. 

Summer camps and mini camps are also available to make the most of the post-school downtime.
