South Orange Rehabilitation and Wellness Expands its Facilities to Better Serve the Community 

Acceptance of Physical Therapy Treatments has grown in recent years, due in part to the aging of the baby boomers, injuries from sports and activities, and the public’s interest in drug-free remedies. 

To meet this increased demand, South Orange Rehabilitation and Wellness has upgraded their facility, located at on 177 Valley Street in South Orange. They have expanded their treatment area by an additional 600 sq. ft., and have added a Spinal decompression unit, a cold laser, electric stimulation, and ultrasound capabilities. They als offer physical therapy, services that are manually based, Sports medicine, post surgical care, athletic care, and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization.

Dr. Priscilla Amponsah put it best, “Our mission is to promote long-term results — healthy living and an enhanced quality of life for all of our patients.”

South Orange Rehabilitation and Wellness treats a number of injuries and conditions including but not limited to:

Dr. Kelli Josephson is originally from West Caldwell, NJ. She studied Biology at the Catholic University of America, where she was also a member of the women’s basketball team. She has a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions.

Dr. Priscilla Amponsah, PT, DPT, ATC/L is a Board Licensed Physical Therapists, Board Licensed in Sports Medicine. She received her BS in Biology at Saint Peter’s University. She has MS in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine and a Doctorate in Physiotherapy from Seton Hall University.

Dr. Daniel Roig has a BS in Biology, and a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Widener University.  He was also recipient of the 2008 “Contribution to the Professional Education Experience Award”.

SOMA Film Festival Starts Friday Night, March 16
