SOUTH ORANGE/MAPLEWOOD, NJ -- The National Weather Service predicts high temperatures, humidity, and poor air quality for Essex County over the next several days, with temperatures expected to be over 90 degrees through Wednesday, August 19.

For those in need of relief from the heat, Codey Arena (560 Northfield Avenue, West Orange) will be open as a cooling station from Monday, Aug. 17, to Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.

Use of Codey Arena as a cooling station will not affect skating activities at the rink.
