SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - About 400 people came out on Sunday, May 15, to enjoy the first South Orange Food Stroll and Pub Crawl in South Orange Village Center.
From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. participants who purchased a wristband could enjoy food at more than ten local restaurants and merchant specials at three stores, including a free sample of cat or dog food at Pet Works. There were also drink specials available that could be purchased separately.
Food and drink selections included chili rubbed salmon over quinoa at Ricalton's Tavern, Creole chicken at Chez Dubois, and Bacon Bloody Mary's at Bunny's Sports Bar.
Bob Zuckerman, Executive Director of the South Orange Village Center Alliance (SOVCA), was pleased with the inaugural event, stating "We had nearly 400 strollers so it was very successful!"
Expect the Food Stroll and Pub Crawl to return next year, as a post to the SOVCA Facebook page states,"We got great feedback and are already thinking about next year."
