MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The seventh annual Local Harvest: Farms, Food, and Family will be held Sunday, Feb. 1 (snow date: Feb. 8) from noon to 4 p.m. indoors at The Woodland in Maplewood. Sponsored by Slow Food Northern New Jersey in partnership with Maplewood Loves Wellness, the event will bring together over 20 local farmers, food artisans, and like-minded organizations for an afternoon of sustainably, locally produced foods to stock up on for the winter.
Available items include local produce, meats, poultry, eggs, cheese, bread, prepared foods, honey and more.
Participants include: Appleridge Farm, Tassot Apiary, Cherry Grove Farm, Arturos, Stryker Farm, Rogowski Farm, Bobolink Dairy & Bakeyard, Degage and many others.
This year's market will include a silent auction, so people can bid on items from their favorite restaurants, farms and shops.
