MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Get ready to laugh, because there are two nights of comedy at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts (10 Durand Rd.) this weekend.

FRIDAY, DEC. 7 - JERSEY 'PROV II - THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL

Friday night is Jersey 'Prov II - This Time It's Personal with two shows of comedy improv, beginning with Teenage FBI at 7 p.m., followed by Mission Control at 8:30 p.m., with opening act Mighty Hoax.

The five members of Teenage FBI are Columbia High School students, directed by Angi Dohrmann, and they will be performing a family-friendly show, according to event organizers. 

Mighty Hoax and Mission Control's show is potentially not as family-friendly, "it all depends on your family," explained event organizers.

Mighty Hoax cast members are Eric Shepperd, Justin Kemps, Jonny Fido, Tim Lowe, and Mehdi Doumi, and are directed by Dave Maulbeck.

Misson Control cast members are Abby Sher (Second City), Bob Kulhan (IO Chicago), Lulu French (Gotham City Improv), Brad Barton (Gotham City Improv), Kimberley Hellem (IO Chicago), Dave Maulbeck (the Magnet), and Angela Dohrmann (Second City)

Jersey "Prov II is a production of Rocket Improv and Suburban Legend.

SATURDAY, DEC. 8 - CHUCKLE PATCH COMEDY SHOW

The laughs continue on Saturday at the Chuckle Patch Comedy Show featuring SOMA residents Molly Reisner, Boo Trundle, and Angi Dorhmann, with Montclair Improv's Luke Ward as well as NYC talents Adira Amram, and Ophira Eisenberg (comic and host of NPR’s Ask Me Another game show), with Abby Sher hosting.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and show begins at 8 p.m. - 21 and over only.
