Liquitex is pleased to announce the launch of an artists’ residency series at Manufacturers Village in East Orange, NJ. This is a unique opportunity for multiple artists to work in a private studio space with Liquitex materials, while immersed among a diverse community of over 40 creative makers.

Artists are invited to just imagine how far their creativity can go with space, materials, and the freedom and time to express themselves, gain knowledge, and make connections in a vibrant collective of artists.

There will be five residencies over the course of 2021, each with a different material as its focus: Acrylic Gouache, Acrylic Mediums, Heavy Body acrylic paint and the full Basics range.

For the first residency, one artist will be given use of a studio fully stocked with Liquitex materials of their choice, up to a value of $1500, plus a range of Liquitex Acrylic Gouache colors.

The residency takes place over five-weeks, from March 15 – April 19, 2021, in a bright and airy loft situated within Manufacturers Village, originally an industrial complex built in the 19th century.

Liquitex will provide professional development coaching and technical support for any questions about the materials.

With a focus on Liquitex Acrylic Gouache, this residency is particularly suited to an artist wishing to use and experiment with acrylic gouache as a part of their practice.

The judges will be London-based artist Rebecca Byrne, New York-based arts writer Brian Boucher and San Francisco-based artist Erik Parra.
