There is still time to enroll for "bridge" and enrichment classes in the Summer Academy presented by Livingston Public Schools.

Bridge classes are for students looking to prepare for Advanced Placement (AP) and honors-inspired bridge courses in math, science and social studies.

Bridge courses are intended for students who would benefit from a preview of the coursework they will encounter in the coming school year. Over the course of the 12-hour, four-day program, key concepts from the initial units of study will be presented so that students are able to familiarize themselves with the topics they will see once the course begins.

In addition, teachers will review effective study methods, secrets to success in AP level coursework, and provide guidance as to how best to cope with a demanding course load. These classes are particularly recommended for students who are taking their first Advanced Placement (AP) or Honors class and/or were in a College Prep (CP) level course the previous year who are transitioning to an AP-or Honors-level class this year.

Enrichment courses for students in Grades 3-12 are planned in computer coding, robotics, engineering, art principles, photography, college essay writing, personal management and organization, information literacy/research, and more.

These courses have been designed in order to provide students with a taste of content they have wondered about.

Class begin July 10. Learn more at www.livingston.org. The classes are open to Livingston residents and students from surrounding communities.
