SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - A South Orange resident reported that at about 5:35 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, an unknown man robbed him of his cash and cell phone while he was walking on South Orange Ave., near Rynda Rd, towards the South Orange Train Station, according to the South Orange police blotter.

The victim described the man as a 6 ft tall black male, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, according to South Orange police. 

A silver handgun was shown and the man fled in an unknown direction, stated police.

The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
