MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The Maplewood Garden Club's Annual Plant Sale begins on Thursday, May 11, and continues Friday, May 12, and Saturday, May 13 at the Maplewood Community Pool parking lot (187 Boyden Ave.).
This year is the 80th Annual Sale, which not only provides shoppers with the chance to purchase some of the best plants in the area, but also supports the Maplewood Garden Club.
According to the Maplewood Garden Club website, proceeds from the Plant Sale go to a variety of projects including community projects, scholarships, youth gardening, and speaker programs.
Shoppers at the plant sale will find a huge variety of annuals, perennials, herbs (varieties for 2017 here), vegetables and more. There is also a large collection of Jersey Heirloom tomatoes (varieties for 2017 here), all kinds of lavender, as well as houseplants, Mother's Day baskets, garden pottery, and a "Member Grown" section with divisions from the gardens of Garden Club members.
The plant sale is held rain or shine.
Thursday, May 11: Noon – 8 p.m.
Friday, May 12: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, May 13: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Please note: The Maplewood Garden Club ha a limited number of carts for shoppers, so if possible, bring your own.
