Update here: Triple Homicide Under Investigation in Maplewood

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Maplewood police are investigating an incident at Van Ness Ct., with a crime scene established at about 12:30 p.m. today. Maplewood police, fire, and EMS were all at the scene, as were detectives from the Essex County Prosecutor's office.

Thomas Fennelly, Chief Assistant Essex County Prosecutor, stated to TAPinto SOMA that the situation is "very fluid" and that he "cannot give any information until we can be certain it's accurate." Fennelly said that a further update would be available once information could be confirmed by the prosecutor's office.

Police on the scene stated to TAPinto SOMA that it was "a very serious situation," but did not provide any additional information. 

Also at the scene was Maplewood Mayor Vic De Luca, who was assisting neighbors who needed help accessing their homes which were within the police area.
