December 5 - Burglary; Sometime during the afternoon hours, a home on Woodside Rd was entered and cash was removed.

December 6 - Theft from Auto; An unsecured auto on Bowdoin St was entered and headphones were removed.

December 5 - Bicycle Theft; During the daytime hours an unsecured bicycle was removed from a bicycle rack at Jefferson School.

December 7 - Burglary; Sometime during the afternoon hours, a home on Williams St was entered and items removed. The proceeds were unknown at the time of the report.

December 7-9, - Thefts from Autos; During the overnight hours on the following days unsecured vehicles on Parker Ave, Elberta Rd, Springfield Ave, Midland Blvd and Summit Ave were entered and items removed.

December 8, 2017; Package Thefts; Officer responded to the area of Elmwood Ave on a report of two juveniles taking packages.  Officers located two males and after an on scene investigation took them into custody for stealing two packages.

Over the past several weeks Maplewood and many surrounding towns have received multiple thefts from unlocked vehicles as well as thefts of vehicles that had the keys left in them.  The Maplewood Police Department would like to remind residents to remove all valuable and keys from vehicles.

The Maplewood Police Department works hard to protect the residents and their property.  We are asking that you assist us in this effort by making sure all vehicles and homes are properly secured at all times.  All charges are merely accusations. Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
