June 29 - Burglary; At approximately 3 p.m., officers responded to an unoccupied home on the 200 block of Elmwood Ave on a report of two individuals on the property. Upon their arrival, 56 year old Yvette Pugh of Irvington was observed walking away from the area. She fit the description of one of the individuals and was detained. During the on scene investigation it was determined that Pugh had been on the property and she was taken into custody and charged with Trespassing. A check of the home by officers found that entry had been forced to the home. Anthony Capaldo age 54 of Newark was located inside of the home. He was taken into custody and charged with burglary, and possession of burglary tools.

June 27 - Shoplifting; At approximately 9 p.m., officers responded to 7-Eleven on Irvington Ave. on a reported shoplifting. The employee reported that a male took a case of energy drinks and walked out of the store without paying. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the male.
