SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The South Orange Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs is offering Drop 'N Play, a play group for children between the ages of 2 and 5 on Tuesday or Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Baird. The program will run from October 13 to December 17.
The group will be mixed ages, and according to an email from the Recreation Department, will "resemble a family or neighborhood gathering, helping with socialization skills."
The email also outlined that the program will
"explore a variety of themes or topics such as animals, construction, transportation, senses, Dr. Seuss, shapes, dinosaurs, puzzles, magnets, kings & queens, superheroes, music and trains. Most important-- fun, fun, fun! Each 2 hour session will include free time, circle time, story time, project time and adventure time in the great outdoors (weather permitting) or in the 'little gym' at the Baird. "
The program will take place at the Baird and will be supervised by experienced staff, including a certified school teacher. The program is limited to 15 children, and will need to reach a minimum enrollment number to be run.
The program fees are $220 for 10 Tuesday sessions and $176 for 8 Thursday sessions. South Orange residents with current Recreation I.D. Badge are eligible for $10 discount.
