SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – A fee schedule for programs in the Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department would be added to the Village Code under an ordinance slated for introduction at Monday’s Board of Trustees meeting.
The board will meet at 7:30 p.m. in closed session and begin its public meeting at 8 p.m. at the main stage of the South Orange Performing Arts Center.
In addition to incorporating the fee schedule into the Code, the ordinance would give the department director broad powers to “create appropriate rules and regulations.” The proposed ordinance notes that director needs to be able to establish rules and regulations, as well as to assess certain fees. The director would also be empowered to create applications and issue permits, as needed.
The fee structure already exists. A list of the 2014 fees can be found here.
