President's Day: SOMA Closures and Schedule Changes

SOUTH ORANGE AND MAPLEWOOD, NJ - President's Day is Monday, February 20, and it's a day off for many, including local students.

Closures on President's Day, Monday, Feb. 20

  • South Orange Maplewood School District schools are closed.
  • South Orange and Maplewood libraries are closed.
  • South Orange and Maplewood municipal offices are closed.
  • Maplewood Jitney is not running.

NJ Transit is operating on a weekend/major holiday schedule, with additional morning and afternoon/evening "peak period" trains on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley, Morris & Essex, Montclair-Boonton and Port Jervis lines.

Maplewood curbside recycling will be picked-up as usual on President's Day.
