Scholarship Fund Established in Name, Memory of Matthew Giaquinto of Summit

SUMMIT, NJ - Morristown Beard School (MBS) and the family of Mathew Giaquinto have established the Matthew Giaquinto Scholarship Fund. Giaquinto, 18 years of age from Summit and a senior at MBS, passed away May 5.

A post on the MBS website details:

"To honor Matthew's legacy at Morristown-Beard School, the Giaquinto Family has established the Matthew Giaquinto Scholarship Fund.

Gifts to the Fund will support scholarship assistance for students with demonstrated financial need. The Giaquintos feel that Morristown-Beard School had such a profound impact on Matthew's life that helping worthy students who would not otherwise be able to attend MBS share in this special experience will serve as an inspirational way to celebrate Matthew's life and the joy he brought to those around him.

The Giaquintos believe that Morristown-Beard School not only offers a unique scholastic experience, but moreover, an incredible and supportive community. In their words, "The School helps to develop far more than academic acumen; it truly builds character in the students it educates."

Accordingly, the Giaquinto Family and Morristown-Beard School are proud to announce the creation of this Fund in Matthew's memory.

Thoughtful gifts to the Matthew Giaquinto Scholarship Fund may be made by check or credit card. To donate using a check, please make the check out to "Morristown-Beard School" and write "Matthew Giaquinto Scholarship Fund" on the memo line. Please mail the check to the Office of Institutional Advancement, Morristown-Beard School, 70 Whippany Road, Morristown, NJ 07960. To make a gift by phone using your credit card, please call the Office of Institutional Advancement at 973-532-7517. Bus Accident in Livingston Kills One Wednesday
