MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The Second Annual Cultural Heritage Festival will be held in Maplewood Memorial Park on Saturday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (rain date is Sunday, June 7).
The Cultural Heritage Festival is a free event produced by the South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race celebrating the culture, arts and community spirit of the region with music, entertainment and family-friendly activities as well as the opportunity to visit vendors selling a variety of items and international foods that showcase the many cultures in our community and throughout New Jersey.
The 2015 Cultural Heritage Festival features a great lineup of multicultural performers, including African drumming by The Kamate Traders, The Livingston Chinese School Lion Dancers and musicians, and Celtic music from the Driscoll and Smith Band.
Seating is informal on the lawn and visitors are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs.
