SHORT HILLS, NJ - The Williams-Sonoma store at the Short Hills Mall hosted a book signing Thursday evening with cooking and lifestyle icon Martha Stewart. Instead of festively dressed toddlers waiting for Santa Claus, a queue of eager adults snaked along the upper level of the mall awaiting her arrival. After a delay from the scheduled 6 pm start; fans waited in long lines to get a few moments and a personalized inscription from the kitchen guru. Some latecomers to the pre-sale event waited in hopes of getting ahold of an unclaimed copy of the cookbook.
The book jacket describes the tome that "provides home cooks with an indispensable resource for selecting, storing, preparing, and cooking from the garden and the market. The 150 recipes, many of which are vegetarian, highlight the flavors and textures of everyday favorites and uncommon varieties alike. Martha Stewart’s Vegetables makes eating your greens (and reds and yellows and oranges) more delicious than ever. Makes eating your greens (and reds and yellows and oranges) more delicious than ever."
