SOUTH ORANGE AND MAPLEWOOD, NJ - South Orange and Maplewood schools will be closed on Tuesday, March 14, due to anticipated heavy snow and blizzard conditions, according to an email from the South Orange Maplewood School District at about 1:30 p.m. on Monday.

A powerful storm is expected to hit the area early Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service, with 18 to 24 inches of snow accumulation possible.

South Orange Maplewood School District and all of its schools will be closed on Tuesday, and all after school activities scheduled in school buildings are canceled on Tuesday as well.

The Community Forum on the 2017-2018 Budget will take place at 7 p.m. tonight at Montrose Early Childhood Center as scheduled.
