After postponing the original event from March to October, SOMA Film Festival will now screen 8 original programs from this year's' festival virtually for FREE from September 10-13 of this year!
These programs will include, The Locals Only! Shorts, Columbia High School Shorts, Women's Voices, American and International Shorts, Friday Night, Matinee Day, Bird's Eye View, and the Locals Only! Long Shorts Programs. Not included will be the Kids, Throwback Thursday, and Seton Hall Programs.
Given a reason for this difficult decision, Matt Smollon, Festival Founder and Director said, “after much deliberation we decided to err on the side of caution and offer these programs for free from the comfort and safety of your own home.”
All the programs will be offered for free for 24 hours with a special password provided by the festival. Each program will also include an informative, and entertaining Q & A with a designated filmmaker.
All tickets holders have been refunded their tickets costs, and sponsors were offered a refund on their generous support.
“Luckily for us many of our sponsors agreed to keep supporting us which allows us to offer this unique cinema experience with fans of indie film, near and far,” stated Smollon.
