SOUTH ORANGE AND MAPLEWOOD, NJ - This weekend is a four-day one for many, with the South Orange-Maplewood School District schools closed on Monday, Oct. 3, and Tuesday, Oct. 4 for the Rosh Hashanah holiday.
Here's what's happening in the two towns this weekend:
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1
South Orange Train Station Centennial Celebration - It's a roaring twenties party from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $25 online and $30 at the door and net proceeds from ticket sales go to the Fund for South Orange Station. Details here.
Former New York Giants player Billy Ard will be at the South Orange Stop & Shop (407 Valley St.) - Ard will sign autographs and take photos from noon to 1:30 p.m. Fans are limited to one autographed item each and one photo per family.
The Theater Project 's production of CROWNS - Ongoing at The Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts in Maplewood, including a performance on Saturday at 8 p.m. More information here.
