The auditorium of the First Presbyterian and Trinity Church in South Orange was the place to be the night of Feb. 8: It hosted the third annual benefit dance, The House of Love 2020, to raise funds for Isaiah House in East Orange.

More than 300 people from Maplewood, South Orange, and all over Essex County came together to dance and celebrate the work of Isaiah House, the 118-bed shelter, day care, and life-skills support system for our area’s most vulnerable residents.

The party featured DJ Cosi and DJ Marc Smooth, a special performance by the Infinite Step Team, artisanal cocktails, food by The Able Baker, Three Daughters Baking, Liv Breads, The Bread Stand, Wheelhouse Maplewood, and Treats by Tink.

The energy in the room was incredible, and more than $50 thousand was raised for Isaiah House. The programs of Isaiah House include a food pantry, and diaper and period product pantries as well as residential and non-residential support for at-risk teens, adults, and families.
