“Locally, the church defines the needs of organizations that serve the needs of our communities, right here,” he said. “Health screenings, programs for women, victims of domestic violence, funding and support for our very own South Orange library, as well as the Community Coalition on Race.”

Upon receipt of his reward, Richardson said he had his family and the members of the First Baptist Church of New Jersey to thank. “The ones who really deserve recognition are (the members) of the First Baptist Church of New Jersey,” he said. “I’m proud to serve… and I would like to salute them.”
