SOUTH ORANGE AND MAPLEWOOD, NJ - For the third year in a row, the South Orange Maplewood School District has been named as one of the "Best Communities for Music Education" by the North American Music Manufacturer’s Foundation (NAMM Foundation).
The award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of the curriculum, stated the NAMM Foundation website.
The Best Communities for Music Education survey acknowledges schools and districts across the United States for their commitment to and support of music education. "Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education," stated the site.
