South Orange Police Blotter as of April 18
Burglary to dwelling; On Monday, April 18, at approximately 3:05 a.m., an officer on routine patrol heard a house alarm sounding on Berkeley Ave. and upon officers arrival it was discovered that an unknown actor(s) had gained entry into the dwelling by breaking a rear glass door that leads into the kitchen with a large rock. The actor then removed from the kitchen counter the victim's pocketbook and wallet which contained credit cards and miscellaneous personal items. The Detective Bureau is actively investigating the incident.
Attempted Burglary/dwelling; A Hartford Ct. resident stated that on Saturday, April 16, at approximately 5:47 a.m., he was awakened by the sound of loud crashing and when he went to investigate he discovered that the storm glass to his rear sliding door had been broken.Officers responded to the scene and canvassed the area for a possible actor with negative results. There was no entry into the dwelling. The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
Lewdness/arrest; Angelo Duverge, an 18 year old South Orange resident, was arrested on Saturday, April 16, at approximately 10:50 a.m. after a female contacted the police stating that the subject had just exposed himself to her while on the eastbound platform of the main train station. The subject was arrested after he was positively identified by the victim of the incident. The subject was transported to police headquarters and processed accordingly.
