Theft/arrest; Scott Cuskaden, a 44 year old Green Village, NJ,  resident was arrested on Monday, April 25, at approximately 5 p.m., after the subject entered the Starbucks located on Sloan St. and removed money from the tip jar as well as a beverage before fleeing the store. The subject was placed under arrest by responding officers when they located the subject on Village Plaza.

Theft/arrest; James Bell, a 24 year old Newark resident, was arrested on April 22, after Detectives determined that he was the actor responsible for a theft of jewelry while he worked at a residence on Charlton Rd. back on September 26, 2015. The subject was arrested at police headquarters when he responded to same and after waiving his Miranda rights gave a confession to Detectives admitting his involvement in same. DWI/arrest' Thomas Willshire, a 50 year old South Orange resident was arrested on April 22 at approximately 11:40 p.m. after an officer on routine patrol discovered the subject asleep behind the wheel while stopped at a traffic light. During the on scene investigation it was determined that the subject had in fact been under the influence and as such was taken into custody at the scene, transported to police headquarters and processed accordingly.

Theft from vehicle; A Hamilton Rd. resident stated that sometime during the evening or overnight hours of April 22, an unknown actor(s ) had entered his unlocked vehicle (2006 Honda) which was parked in the driveway and removed approximately $40 in cash from the glove box.

Shoplifting/arrest; Patrick Jenkins, a 20 year old Irvington resident and employee of the Stop and Shop located on Valley St. was arrested on April 23 after he was observed by store security removing merchandise prior to leaving work for the day. The subject was arrested at the scene without incident, transported to police headquarters and processed accordingly.

Burglary to vehicle; A South Orange Ave. resident stated that sometime between the evening and overnight hours of April 23, an unknown actor(s) had smashed the rear window to his Ford work van and gained access inside. No items were believed to be stolen during the incident. The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident at this time.
