Burglary to Auto - A Newark resident reported that between 8:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, actor(s) unknown entered her vehicle, which was parked in Municipal Lot #3 and removed a bag and wallet that contained some identification, personal papers and a credit card. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.
Theft - A local real estate agent reported that two "For Sale" realty office signs were stolen from an address on Grove Rd. sometime between noon Monday, April 24 and 12:46 p.m. on Friday, April 28. The signs are valued at approximately $150 each.
Adult Arrest - Shoplifting - Eric Deas, a 53 year old East Orange resident, was arrested on Friday, April 28, at approximately 10:43 a.m. for shoplifting. Officers responded to the area near the Rite Aid, where employees had called police about a shoplifter who had fled the store. Officers located the subject, who had the stolen proceeds in his possession and arrested him without further incident. Officers transported Deas to headquarters, where he was processed accordingly.
Warrant Arrest - Christopher Wallace, a 50 year old Madison resident, was arrested on Friday, April 28, at approximately 6:32 a.m. for multiple outstanding arrest warrants. Officers responded to the main train station for a call of an unruly subject who was acting in a disorderly manner. After a record check revealed the active warrants, officers arrested Wallace without further incident and transported him to headquarters for processing.
