South Orange Police Blotter as of April 24

Adult Arrest CDS - Dennis Holmes, a 35 year old Orange resident, was arrested on Wednesday, April 19, at approximately 1:39 a.m. for possession of CDS (marijuana). Officers stopped Holmes for a motor vehicle violation near the intersection of South Orange Ave. and Montrose St. After further investigation at the scene of the traffic stop, officers determined that the driver (Holmes) was in possession of marijuana. Officers arrested Holmes without incident and transported him to headquarters where he was processed accordingly.

Burglary to Auto - A Berkeley Ave. resident reported that between 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, and 7:45 a.m., Thursday, April 20, unknown actor(s) entered two unlocked vehicles, which were parked in the driveway and rummaged through the interior. Nothing appears to have been taken.

Burglary to Auto - A Clark St. resident reported that between 6 p.m., Monday, April 17, and 8 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, unknown actor(s) entered his unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the driveway and rummaged through the interior. It's unknown if anything is missing at this time

Burglary to Auto - A Woodland Pl. resident reported that between 10 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, and 11 a.m., Thursday, April 20, unknown actor(s) entered her unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the driveway and rummaged through the interior. Nothing appears to have been taken.

Theft of Bicycle - A West Orange resident reported that his son's bicycle was stolen on Thursday, April 20, at approximately 4:00/4:05 p.m. from behind the South Orange Middle School. The bicycle is a grey, orange and black, Mongoose brand, BMX style bike.
