Burglary to garage/arrest - Keith Tilhgman, a 31 year old Newark resident, was arrested on August 31 at approximately 8:30 a.m. after a Varsity Rd. resident had reported a burglary and theft from his garage on August 28. The homeowner had captured video surveillance of the actor involved. Upon investigation by the Detective Bureau it was discovered that the detectives were familiar with the actor and as such filed a warrant for his arrest. The detectives observed the suspect this date walking on Norwood St. in Newark and affected the arrest without incident. The suspect was transported to police headquarters and processed accordingly.
Warrant arrest - Jackson Roberts, a 24 year old South Orange resident, was arrested on August 29, at approximately 12:05 p.m. after he was observed consuming alcohol while walking on South Orange Ave. in violation of the Village ordinance prohibiting same. During the field inquiry it was discovered that the subject had a hold issued out of the Essex County Sheriff's Department for his arrest. The subject was placed into custody without incident, transported to police headquarters and processed accordingly.

Warrant arrest - David Sweeper, a 43 year old Newark resident, was arrested on August 31 at approximately 7:30 a.m., after an officer responded to a call of an unknown subject laying on the porch of a Eder Ter. residence. During the on-scene investigation it was discovered that the subject had an outstanding warrant issued for his arrest out of the City of Roselle. The subject was taken into custody, transported to police headquarters and processed accordingly.
Theft of flag - A Hamilton Rd. resident stated that between 8 p.m. on August 29 and 7:30 p.m. the following day an unknown actor(s) had removed the American Flag he had placed on his front lawn which had the quote "Never Forget" written on the bottom of same.
