South Orange Police Blotter as of January 13
Adult Arrest CDS - Benjamin Orgera, an 18 year old South Orange resident was arrested on Sunday, Jan. 7, at approximately 10:20 p.m. for possession of CDS (marijuana). Officers stopped an auto for a motor vehicle violation near the intersection of Ridgewood Rd & Redmond Rd. During the traffic stop, officers determined that the driver of the vehicle (Orgera) was in possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. Officers arrested Orgera without further incident and transported him to headquarters where he was processed accordingly.
Burglary to Auto - A Kingman Rd resident reported that sometime between Tuesday, Jan. 2 and Wednesday, Jan. 10, actor(s) unknown entered her vehicle, ransacked the interior & removed an SHU parking pass off the rear view mirror. Vehicle was parked in her driveway at the time.
Warrant Arrest - Christopher Cook, a 38 year old Newark resident, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan.10, at approximately 11:15 a.m. for outstanding arrest warrants out of Newark and South Orange. Officers responded to the intersection of South Orange Ave. and Sloan for a suspicious person and during the on scene investigation, a records check revealed the active arrest warrants. Officers arrested Cook without further incident and transported him to headquarters where he was processed accordingly.
