Work on the main pool filter replacement project at the South Orange Community Pool is being completed today. The contractor is on site, working to get pool filtration operational.

Chemicals must then be balanced and a positive water test result from a 3rd party laboratory is required before pool use is permitted. Water samples will be taken today for analysis. While the pool has been chlorinated, the lack of water circulation for an extended period of time is likely to result in initial test failure. Immediate retesting will occur until a positive result is achieved.  As soon as permitted, the main pool will be open for use for the season.

We will send an announcement as soon as we know that we have the go-ahead to open. Information will also be posted on the Village website at www.southorange.org and on twitter @SOPool as it becomes available.
