MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Thursday evening on June 23, St. James Gate hosted a Pub Night party to help raise awareness of Melanoma as the kick-off event for the Second Annual Oysterfest, which will be held in September, honoring the life of Bob Miller. During the evening, t-shirts, handmade hats and ball caps were sold to raise additional money for the Robert J. Miller Oysterfest.
The Pub Night culminated with the drawing of the winning ticket in the raffle. The raffle winner will receive airfare to Ireland for two, hotel accommodations, and tickets to the 3-day Galway Oyster Festival from Sept. 24 to Sept. 27. The winner will also be given 2 VIP Tickets to the Robert J. Miller Oysterfest. The raffle tickets were sponsored by the Elks Club of Maplewood.
The Pub became quiet at 10 p.m. as John Meade reached into a giant Guinness Beer Mug and drew the winning ticket. The lucky winners are Tricia and Patrick Kenny of Maplewood.
