SOUTH ORANGE/MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Both Maplewood and South Orange's governing bodies have approved participating in the next round of Sustainable Essex Alliance's energy aggregation.

SEA awarded a contract for round two of the program to Energy Harbor, the low bidder, for an 18-month contract which will begin in March 2021. SEA consists of Glen Rock, Livingston, Glen Ridge, Maplewood, Montclair, South Orange and Verona. More information may be found on the Maplewood website.

A public information meeting will stream on January 21 at 7:30 p.m. Industry experts from SEA’s energy consultants, Gabel Associates, will join South Orange Village officials to answer questions from the public about the energy aggregation program.
