MAPLEWOOD, NJ — As the physical offices of the South Orange Maplewood School District remain closed during the coronavirus pandemic, the district has announced that parents and guardians who wish to enroll a child for the 2020-2021 school year must complete their application process online. "In-person appointments are not available at this time due to COVID-19 health and safety precautions," the district's website says.
Students will be registered in three steps: an online pre-registration, document submission by email, and a phone or video interview and application review. The SOMSD website states that "ALL school placements will be finalized upon the completion of the ENTIRE enrollment process."
