SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Out of the nine candidates running to fill three vacant seats on the village Board of Trustees, the Your Voice Our Village Slate, which includes Bob Zuckerman, Donna Coallier and Summer Jones appears to have won the race.

Zuckerman leads the board of trustees race with 1,554 votes. Coming in second place is Coallier with 1,388 votes. In third place is Jones with 1,308 votes, according to preliminary results from the Township of South Orange Village Clerk's Office.

Vote counts for other trustees include Baynard "Bobby" Brown with 1,065 votes. Toshie Y. Davis has 877 votes and Ed Moore has 693 votes, according to the preliminary results. Brown, Davis and Moore are part of the slate Brown, Davis and Moore for Board of Trustees.

Vote counts for candidates on the South Orange Forward slate include 647 votes for Matthew Wonski, 577 votes for Stacey Trimble Borden, and 541 votes for Edward Grossi. Wonski, Trimble Borden and Grossi ran on the slate with presidential challenger Deborah Davis Ford.

Preliminary election results show Davis Ford was defeated by incumbent Sheena Collum by about 1,600 votes.

The results are unofficial until confirmed by the Essex County Clerk’s Office.
