MAPLEWOOD/SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — As people gathered around smaller, more socially distanced Thanksgiving tables, local coronavirus numbers continued to rise. The South Orange COVID-19 portal reported two news cases, bringing the Village's total to 262. Essex County reported eight new cases in Maplewood, although this number is subject to change as the Township's Public Health officials conduct their investigations. Across Essex County, 329 new cases were reported today along with two deaths, both Newark residents.

To schedule a coronavirus test at one of Essex County's mobile testing sites in the next few days, go to https://www.essexcovid.org. Some sites have walk up availability, some are by appointment only.
