MAPLEWOOD, NJ - A dispute between two families in a pair of Maplewood apartments spilled over into violence last Monday.

According to Maplewood police, at approximately 5:45 p.m. on April 6, officers responded to a reported large fight between two groups on Oregon Street. Upon their arrival, it was determined that the dispute was between families of two different apartments. 

Following an investigation at the scene, Robert Smith, age 26, of Oregon Street was arrested for assault with a knife and Corrine Hill-Ugochukwu, age 49, of Newark was arrested for assault with a snow shovel. 

There were no serious inuries, but one individual sustained a minor laceration in the fight.
