MAPLEWOOD AND SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Two men from Maplewood have been charged with criminal mischief in connection with the recent graffiti that has been found throughout Maplewood, according to a press release from the Maplewood Police Department.
The press release stated that at about 4 a.m. on April 6, an officer stopped a man "in connection with the recent graffiti incidents that have occurred throughout the Township." As a result of that stop, and investigation by detectives, two men were charged.
Marcus Baker, age 21, was charged with eight counts of criminal mischief, and Spencer Pontius, age 22, was charged with two counts of criminal mischief, according to Maplewood police.
Maplewood police also stated that it was "determined that the incidents are not gang related 'tags' at this time."

In addition to the graffiti found in Maplewood, at least three locations in South Orange also have graffiti.
