SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The woman struck and killed yesterday by a NJ Transit train has been identified. Barbara Vorhees of New Providence died when she was hit near Mountain Station. She was 60 years old. 

A New Jersey Transit spokesperson advised that at approximately 12:30 p.m., Morris and Essex NJ Transit Train #6625 which had departed Penn Station New York at 11:46 a.m. and was due to arrive in Dover at 1:15 p.m. struck Vorhees. NJ Transit further stated there were no reported injuries to the approximately 300 passengers and crew on the train.
