To the editor:
I encourage my fellow neighbors to vote for South Orange 2017 “Line B” on Tuesday, May 9th. My family has lived in South Orange for over 10 years and we have seen tremendous progress especially in the past four years. I love living close to Flood’s Hill and am blown away by the diversity and abundance of recreational activities and facilities we’re able to enjoy. We are extremely excited about the Skate House and the Baird which are currently under renovation and the tennis courts which starts next week! I know Trustee Stephen Schnall as Chair of the Recreation and Cultural Affairs Committee is a big part of this and we’re grateful!
I’ve also had the opportunity to meet Trustee Walter Clarke and my family is incredibly grateful for our new contract with American Water. I know a major infrastructure project like that isn’t easy and I know Trustee Clarke as Chair of Public Works and his staff oversaw that project. I’m also looking forward to River Day, something Trustee Clarke has helped spearhead with fellow volunteers for as long as I can remember.
Lastly, Karen Hilton and all I can say is wow. As a Korean American woman, an entrepreneur, a mother, and an activist, I’m so impressed by Karen’s credentials. She has successfully helped women realize their potential by encouraging them to run for office through training with Emerge NJ and has started other Chapters across the country. As a financial advisor, I have been working to empower women of all ages and background and to help them reach their full potential. In my mind, Karen is doing exactly that in the political arena, which pushes all of us to be better.
Join me on May 9th and vote Stephen Schnall, Walter Clarke, and Karen Hilton!
