What's Open on Thanksgiving in Maplewood and South Orange

MAPLEWOOD AND SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Wondering what's open on Thanksgiving? Here is a list of SOMA restaurants, grocery stores, and liquor stores that are open this Thursday, November 23: 

MAPLEWOOD

Maple Leaf Diner (165 Maplewood Ave., Maplewood) is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Maplewood Diner (1473 Springfield Ave., Maplewood) is open 24 hours.

Parkwood Diner (1958 Springfield Ave., Maplewood) is open from 6 a.m. to noon.

Dunkin' Donuts (2001 Springfield Ave., Maplewood) is open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

SOUTH ORANGE

Above Restaurant (1 South Orange Ave., South Orange) is serving a four-course Thanksgiving feast. Call 973-762-2683 for reservations. See their Thanksgiving menu here.

The Village Diner (1 Sloan St., South Orange) is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Dunkin' Donuts (2 South Orange Ave., South Orange) is open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Bunny's (12-14 W South Orange Ave.) will open between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. for the football games and after dinner cocktails. The kitchen is closed.

GROCERY STORES AND CATERING

Ashley Marketplace & Cafe (1 South Orange Ave., South Orange) has a full catering menu, available here with home delivery through Wed., Nov. 23, and pick-up until noon on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving Day store hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Stop & Shop (407 Valley St., South Orange) is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kings Food Market (159 Maplewood Ave., Maplewood) has a full catering menu here, and the store is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Trader Joe's is closed.

LIQUOR STORES

Maplewood Wine & Liquor (3 Highland Pl., Maplewood) is open from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Morgan's (309 Irvington Ave., South Orange) is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

School Walkout Efforts Reach West Orange High School
