MAPLEWOOD, NJ - A woman was injured when her vehicle overturned on Springfield Avenue Friday morning after hitting a parked car.

According to Maplewood police, at approximately 11:34 a.m., near 1812 Springfield Avenue a vehicle traveling west on struck a parked and unoccupied vehicle on the north side of the roadway and flipped over.

The driver, a 52-year-old female, was extricated from the vehicle by firefighters from the Maplewood Fire Department and transported to University Hospital for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
