Maplewood Police Blotter - Woman Assaulted While Walking Dog, Police Report

September 28 - Assault; At approximately 10 p.m., a female walking her dog on Burnett Ave was assaulted by a male after rejecting his advances.  The 37 year old resident was injured prior to the male entering a vehicle and fleeing the scene.  She was transported to the hospital for treatment.  Through investigation the actor was identified as 32 year old Marc Vincent of Belleville.  He was found to already be incarcerated and was charged and processed for the aggravated assault.

September 27 - Theft; Between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. one license plate was stolen off of a vehicle parked on Heller Pl.

September 28 - Motor Vehicle Theft; Sometime during the previous two days, a Jeep was stolen out of the driveway of a Collingwood Rd residence. The vehicle was later recovered after being involved in a motor vehicle collision in Newark.

September 30 - Theft from Auto; At approximately 2 a.m. an unknown male was observed going through an unsecured vehicle on Rutgers St by the resident.  Change was discovered missing from the vehicle.

December 5 - Burglary; Sometime during the afternoon hours, a home on Woodside Rd was entered and cash was removed.

December 6 - Theft from Auto; An unsecured auto on Bowdoin St was entered and headphones were removed.

November 20 - Bicycle Theft; Sometime over the previous three days, a bicycle was removed from an unsecured garage on Girard Pl.

November 21 - Shoplifting; At approximately 11 p.m., a male concealed Red Bull in a bag at 7-Eleven on Irvington Ave and then fled the store when confronted.
